I have successfully obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in 2019 and subsequently completed my Master’s in Chemistry in 2021, both conferred by Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a prestigious Central University situated in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. In February 2022, I joined the KBJ research group, contributing my expertise to the field of Bio-organic Chemistry. My primary focus in this role involves the intricate domain of peptide chemistry, exploring its diverse applications across various scientific disciplines. The central tenet of my research endeavours revolves around the theme of “Nano-strategies in peptide nanotechnology: Exploiting biomimetic short peptide conjugates,” a pivotal area that elucidates the exploitation of biomimetic short peptide conjugates in the context of nanotechnology applications.

Narayan Swain

I have completed my Bachelor of Science degree in 2016 from Utkal University and subsequently earned my Master’s in Chemistry in 2018 from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a distinguished Central University situated in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. In June 2022, I joined the esteemed KBJ research group, where my research pursuits are predominantly centered on the self-assemblies of biological molecules, rational peptide design, and their diverse applications within the realms of synthetic biology and bionanotechnology. My commitment to advancing knowledge in these specialized areas underscores the significance of my contributions to the broader scientific community.

Shruti Sharma

Miss Shruti Sharma, having earned her Bachelor’s of Science in 2019 and a Master’s in Chemistry in 2021 from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, has assumed the role of Project Associate within the KBJ research group since February 2022. Currently, she is enrolled in the Ph.D. program in July 2024. Her primary focus revolves around the pivotal contribution of Multifunctional Peptide Conjugates (MPCs) in facilitating advanced drug formulations for diverse medical applications. Engaged in the design and synthesis of short multifunctional peptide conjugates, she endeavors to develop potent antibacterial and antibiofilm agents. Additionally, her work encompasses the formulation of nano-platforms to counteract multidrug and antimicrobial resistance, offering promising prospects for significant therapeutic advancements.

Shruti Sharma

I have successfully earned my Bachelor of Science degree in 2019 and subsequently completed my Master’s in Chemistry in 2021, both conferred by Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a distinguished Central University located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. In February 2022, I assumed the role of Project Associate-I within the KBJ research group, actively contributing to the SERB-CRG project titled: “Multifunctional Peptide Conjugates (MPCs) Assisted Drug Formulations: Promising Therapeutics for Multifarious Medical Applications.”

In my current capacity, I am deeply engrossed in the design and synthesis of short multifunctional peptide conjugates, a crucial aspect integral to the development of antibacterial or antibiofilm agents. Additionally, I am involved in the formulation of nano-platforms for conventional drugs aimed at addressing issues related to multidrug resistance (MDR) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) during various therapeutic interventions. The strategic integration of drug-chimeric molecules within nano-formulations represents a promising avenue, poised to yield significant therapeutic advantages in the complex landscape of medical applications.

Harsha Choudhary

A native of Sagar, she received her early education at St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School. She pursued her academic journey by achieving a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication from Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Her proficiency extends to programming languages, encompassing Java, Python, and MySQL. To deepen her expertise, she engaged in internships, delving into VLSI Design, VHDL, and FPGA at CRISP Bhopal, and further honed her skills in Artificial Intelligence through an internship with Microsoft Foundation Techsaksham.

Since August 2023, she has been serving as a Project Assistant on a DST-TEC Project https://tecdhsgsu.in , where her contributions are aligned with advancing the objectives of the project through her technical acumen and comprehensive skill set in Electronics and Communication. Her academic background, coupled with practical experiences gained through internships, underscores her commitment to technological proficiency and ongoing professional development.

Aashi Jain

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree, completed in 2021, and a Master of Science degree in Chemistry, earned in 2023, both from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. In 2024, I embarked on a postgraduate diploma in Bioinformatics at the same esteemed institution. On August 1, 2024, I joined the KBJ Research Group as a project intern, where I am contributing to the SERB-CRG project titled “Multifunctional Peptide Conjugates (MPCs) in Assisted Drug Formulation: Promising Therapeutics for Multifarious Medical Applications.” My current focus lies in synthesizing peptide conjugates and exploring their biotechnological applications to fulfill the group’s aim of advancing therapeutic strategies and contributing to cutting-edge medical research.

Dr. Vikas Kumar

Following the culmination of his Master of Science degree in Chemistry in 2013, during which he earned distinction as a University Rank holder at Dr. Hari Singh Gour Central University in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, he sustained his scholarly commitment to the institution from 2013 to 2017. His doctoral investigation delved into the exploration of bio-inspired self-assembled nanostructures customized for advanced applications, culminating in the production of an exhaustive thesis titled “Synthesis and Evolution of Bio-inspired Novel Chemical Entities for Advanced Biological Applications.”

Post his doctoral endeavours, he augmented his academic repertoire by embarking on a postdoctoral fellowship as a Claude Leon Postdoctoral Fellow. Throughout this tenure, he had the privilege of collaborating under the esteemed mentorship of Prof. Marina Rautenbach within the BIOPEP group at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Subsequently, he transitioned to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, assuming the role of a DSK-PDF, and continued his scholarly pursuits under the guidance of Prof. Tushar K. Chakraborty.

In addition to these international experiences, he briefly contributed to a Scientist Position at US Pharmacopeia (USP). Shortly thereafter, he joined the Government Postgraduate College in Khimasha, Madhya Pradesh, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor, further contributing to the academic and scientific landscape.

Dr. Ramesh Singh

He completed his Master of Science in Chemistry from Kumaun University, Nainital, in 2013, and demonstrated academic excellence by successfully clearing the CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF examination in December 2015 and GATE in 2016. His professional journey led him to engage with a specific research group from August 2016 until January 2022. The focus of his doctoral research centered on the development of peptide-based unique nanoarchitectures for potential biomedical applications. The culmination of his research efforts resulted in a meticulously compiled thesis titled “Design, Synthesis, and Application of Short Peptide Conjugates: A Unique Paradigm for Creating Novel Nano-Architectures.”

Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he assumed the role of a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology-Gandhinagar (IIT-G) from February 2022 to May 2023, working under the guidance of Dr. Dhiraj D. Bhatia. Presently, he serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, USA. This current position marks the continuation of his scholarly pursuits and underscores his commitment to advancing research in a distinguished international academic environment.

Dr. Khushboo Kesharwani

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in 2016. Subsequently, I earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2018, attaining the position of University Rank holder at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a distinguished Central University located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. In the year 2018, I successfully qualified for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MPSET). Since September 2019, I have enrolled as a doctoral candidate within the realm of Applied Organic Chemistry and conducted research under the supervision of the KBJ research group. My scholarly pursuits were predominantly focused on elucidating and developing “Rationally Designed Short Peptide Conjugates for Multifarious Applications.”

Dr. Satyendra K. Tripathi

I have meticulously undertaken and completed my Bachelor of Science degree from the esteemed University of Allahabad in 2015, subsequently advancing my academic pursuits by acquiring a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a distinguished Central University situated in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, in 2017. My scholarly trajectory has been significantly augmented through the esteemed INSPIRE fellowship scheme, an accolade I had the privilege of receiving from 2012 to 2017. Furthermore, I have demonstrated my scholarly aptitude by securing qualifications in the CSIR-UGC NET-JRF examination in June 2019, followed by the GATE examination in 2020. Subsequent to these accomplishments, I joined the illustrious KBJ research group to embark on my doctoral journey. The crux of my doctoral thesis revolves around an in-depth exploration of the “Preparation and Characterization of Anti-Alzheimer’s Drug loaded Peptide Based Nanoparticles and Their Kinetic Modeling,” a research theme that stands as a cornerstone in both my academic and professional endeavours. Presently, I serve in the capacity of an Assistant Professor at the Government Postgraduate College in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Shradhey Gupta

I have been associated with Dr. K. B. Joshi’s group as a research associate from March 2018 and worked till 2019. Theme of my  research work was “Value Added Peptide Conjugates for Biological and Medical Application”. Prior to join his group I was associated with Mylan Laboratories Ltd., Hyderabad. I have completed my B. Sc. (2008), M. Sc. (2010) and Ph. D. (2016) in Chemistry from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. I did my Ph. D under the supervision of Dr. G.N. Mulik and Dr M. A. Anuse and the thesis compiled with a title, Solvent extraction studies of some transition metal ions using high molecular weight amines.

Dr. Vishal J. Suryavanshi

I joined Dr. K. B. Joshi’s group as a CSIR-Research Associate in March 2016. Before joining, I got PhD in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2015.  The title of PhD thesis is “Spectroscopic Investigation of Alcohol-Chlorinated Methane Synergistic Binary Solvent Mixtures and its Application” which substantially outlines the genesis of synergistic behavior in alcohol-chlorinated methane binary solvent mixtures, by using steady-state, ultrafast spectroscopic methods and analytical models. At Present I am working in this group as N-PDF (DST-SERB) research fellow.

Divyansh Chouhan

Born in the city of Sagar, he attained his foundational education at Vatsalya Senior Secondary School. Subsequently, he pursued his postgraduate studies in Chemistry from Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar. Possessing adept proficiency in C++, SQL, and the Microsoft Office suite, he adeptly amalgamates his scientific acumen with technical prowess to distinguish himself in his professional endeavours. He further enriched his experiential repertoire through an internship in the processing department at Aashman Foundation. Commencing from August 2023, he has diligently served as a Technical Assistant/Field Worker under the aegis of the DST-TEC Project. Presently, he holds the esteemed position of Laboratory Attendant at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, situated in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
